The Miss Maneater Story
Miss Maneater is an independent Australian designer swimwear label created by designer Renay Wells.
Founded in 2010, the brand was born from a desire to create swimwear that celebrates confidence, individuality, and the powerful connection between women and the ocean.
Each Miss Maneater design reflects a bold and expressive aesthetic — sculpted silhouettes, striking prints, and distinctive detailing inspired by reef environments, coastal landscapes, and the raw beauty of the sea.
Unlike mass-produced swimwear, Miss Maneater pieces are created in small boutique runs using premium fabrics and carefully considered construction. Every piece reflects the creative vision behind the #maneaterSTYLE — confident, playful, and unapologetically feminine.
The Archive
The Miss Maneater Archive is a curated release of rare designer pieces from past collections.

The Designer
Renay Wells has spent more than two decades working across the global fashion and textile industry, including roles in retail buying offices, product development, and garment production.
Her career has taken her from Shanghai and textile manufacturing hubs across Asia to the surf industry of California, working closely with factories and designers across international supply chains.
This hands-on industry experience informs the Miss Maneater approach — combining strong design direction with a deep understanding of garment construction, fabric performance, and boutique production.
Miss Maneater reflects Renay’s belief that swimwear should feel powerful, expressive, and designed to be remembered.
Ocean Inspired
The ocean has always been central to the Miss Maneater identity.
The brand draws inspiration from marine environments, reef systems, and the ever-changing movement of the sea.
Through the SHARKskin collection, Miss Maneater also supports ocean protection initiatives, with 11% of collection sales supporting Sea Shepherd Australia and their work protecting whales and marine ecosystems.
For Miss Maneater, the ocean is more than inspiration — it is something worth protecting.
